The Hatchery in Tolsta Chaolais was a great place to stay with friends who enjoy going out at nights. the property was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We loved the local produce and Prosecco that greeted us on arrival. the views over the fishing loch were stunning, and the well-stocked kitchen and entertainment options like Sky TV and a great speaker system were a bonus. the helpful books and OS maps provided were useful for exploring the island. the Hatchery was an excellent base for exploring Lewis and Harris.

The Hatchery felt really good, no complaints.

The house had stunning views and was exceptionally clean. the design features were lovely, and the owner's own smokery business provided delicious smoked salmon and cheese. the beach towels were a nice touch. the location was perfect for exploring the Isle of Lewis.

The lack of a freezer compartment in the fridge was a small inconvenience, as I missed having ice cubes for my G&T. Another drawback was the lack of wifi, but overall, the house was beautifully appointed and situated with great views.

The house had stunning views of the surrounding landscape, creating a truly picturesque atmosphere. It was exceptionally clean and had lots of nice design features that added to the overall ambiance. I also appreciated the small touches, such as the owner's own smoked salmon and cheese, as well as the complimentary prosecco and flowers. The beach towels provided were also a nice touch. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Isle of Lewis.

While the house had many positive aspects, there were a few minor drawbacks. One of them was the lack of a freezer compartment in the fridge.

We had an incredible stay at The Hatchery and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The house was immaculate and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. The views over the loch were breathtaking and we loved opening the door to listen to the sounds of the flowing water outside. The house was well-equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom felt luxurious and added an extra touch of indulgence to our stay. Although there was no WiFi, we were able to purchase a SIM card for internet access, which worked well for us. The Hatchery provided us with a memorable and comfortable base for our island adventures. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

We had the most incredible Christmas vacation in a stunning house with breathtaking views. The house was beautifully designed and exceptionally clean, with lots of nice touches like a welcome basket with smoked salmon and cheese from the owner's smokery business, as well as prosecco and fresh flowers. The location was perfect for exploring the Isle of Lewis, with convenient access to interesting sites like the Callanish stones. the house was situated on a quiet road, offering a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

There were a few small suggestions we made to improve our stay, such as having a freezer compartment in the fridge for ice cubes, as I missed my G&T with ice. it would have been helpful to have wifi access, especially when traveling with a young child.
